Sensitivity is uncommon in children. There could be most likely a decay that has reached his nerve
Next Steps
Please visit your dentist and get it ruled out
Health Tips

Use a fluoridated toothpaste to prevent cavities. Normally children will not get sensitivity of teeth unless there is a tooth cavity. If there is a cavity then it has to be filled.
Next Steps
Consult a dentist for a regular check up
