Delayed Period

My wife (30 years old) has Type 2 Diabetes and has been on insulin for the past three months as per her doctor’s advice, since we are planning for a baby. However, we have not actively tried yet. This month (March), she has missed her period, and it has been almost 20 days. She took a home pregnancy test, but the result was negative. She is not experiencing any other symptoms. Could you please suggest what we should do next or if any additional tests are required?

Do a beta HCG test for confirmation If that's negative then you can consider taking progesterone tablet
