Deep second degree Burn injury

My mother have a burn injury on lower  abdomen and thigh portion. Doctor gave her a ointment named debridace and it is worked in abdomen area. But for thigh area doctor told that debridement operation is necessary. But my question is debridace ointment can work for thigh area wound healing ?
