Dark circles are a common problem but the cause for its occurrence has to be determined. Most of the times, it's genetic that is it runs in the family. But inadequate sleep, nutritional deficiency or working on laptop for long hours can also cause this. Please get your hemoglobin checked. Creams can be tried, which are specially made for treating pigmentation on this area. Chemical peels are also another option. Please use a sunscreen. You can call me or contact me through online consult option for detailed prescription and all other precaution to be taken.,

Hello, Dark circles can cause a lot of worry, because it can make you look tired and dull. There are several causes for dark circles or peri orbital melanosis they are inadequate sleep, dehydration, frequent rubbing of eyes, allergies, working for long hours on laptop, genetics , some people have deep set eyes which gives a shadow effect, nutritional deficiencies, anaemia etc . So knowing the cause is very important in the treatment of dark circles.
Next Steps
There is a wide range of treatment options available now for dark circles from topical dark circle reduction creams to peels for peri orbital area etc . However it's very important to identify the cause before treatment.
Health Tips
Keep yourself well hydrated, have food rich in antioxidants like fruits, veggies etc, don't rub your eyes , the skin around the eye is really thin and also very sensitive to friction. Adequate sleep and healthy lifestyle is very important. However if nothing seems to be working please do consult a dermatologist. Thanks
