Hello The swelling is limited to the scalp and is only external—your brain is absolutely normal, so there’s nothing to worry about. This kind of soft tissue swelling can take 2–3 weeks to subside. You can do gentle hot water fomentation to help reduce it, and take a painkiller if the pain is bothering you. Otherwise, it should settle on its own with time.

Only scalp swelling present. Take analgesic.
