Cronh's disease treatment

Sir/madam, I have crohn's since 8months.My current medications are mesalamine, azathioprine, Livogen, shelcal 500, pan 40.These medicines are pescribed by dr in Cmc vellore.Because it is a chronic disease hence I have to take medicines life long and reqire to consult a gastro dr in regular interval.my query is if I start to consult my local gastroenterologist, will it be very bad idea? Besause distance of cmcvellore is 2000 km from my house, pls advice.

You can consult a local Gastroenterologist. That is fine. Once you are in remission then treatment can be tapered.

Yes u can consult your local gastroenterologist. And after a certain interval u can have review from your cmc doctor also.
