Covid positive and low grade fever

2021-04-25 15:02:24
I was diagnosed with covid around 8 days back. While being positive I developed high fever (101-101.5) on day 2 and day 3. Since then I am having low grade fever even till today 8th day ( fever around 99-99.5). When I wake up in the morning or evening , it goes away but comes again. How long does covid fever last. Is fever of 99-99.5 a cause of concern. Otherwise I don't have dry cough and all. Oxygen level - resting 97-98-99 6 min walk test -96-98

Low grade fever can persist upto end of 2nd week of COVID19 acute infection. Monitor vitals - Temperature , Oxygen saturation levels daily. Get baseline blood work up for inflammatory markers if fever persists - consult online for same.
Health Tips
testing for inflammatory markers can give good idea if steroids or blood thinners are needed. If markers are mildly elevated - then nothing to worry about
