Cough n congestion/mucus

My kid is doing cough from many days and we can easily listen the mucus when he sleeps or take breath fast. Frm five days we are giving antibiotic (ziffi 100 dt) and syrup (zedex -p) but still in the morning when he wakes up , he coughs a lot and we can feel lot of mucus. Please suggest
