Cough from the past week

For the last week, my daughter has been experiencing a mild cough. After consulting with the doctor, we decided to give her relent plus syrup which has helped to alleviate the cough. However, the cough still persists and my doctor is unavailable for the next three weeks. I would appreciate any advice on whether or not to continue giving her the same syrup. For reference, my daughter is 3.8 years old and weighs 15 kg. She is currently taking 2.5 ml of relent plus syrup three times a day.

It could be viral Upper respiratory infection If this cough is not associating fever and if child is doing well like alert and active and takes food properly nothing to worry Cough is a symptom always take to get relieve Cough syp are always supportive treatment but never cures cough fully Ensure that you avoid outside food/ice cream Give soothers like lukewarm water/honey/turmeric milk But if this cough has started suddenly worsening day by day, child having difficulty in breathing, wakes up in night, family history of allergy do consult your paediatrician ASAP

Hi. It must be upper respiratory infection if there is no fever and no other symptoms. Use it for 2 more days. If not coming down better get a phsyical consultation to see whether pneumonia present or not
