Cough after covid

After a month of recovering from mild covid, I have a an irritated patch inside my throat, if I touch it or eat anything spicy/sour/cold it triggers severe coughing that lasts for hours unaffected by OTC meds, getting resolved in its own time, it is productive cough and has limited my food and exercise, what can I do to help myself?
