Hello 2 to 3 egg whites per day are safe and healthy at this age. Egg white is a rich source of high-quality protein, low in fat and cholesterol. While egg whites are healthy, don’t rely only on them for protein. Ensure a balanced diet: include milk, pulses, dals, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and occasional non-veg.
Next Steps
Though he dislikes it, egg yolk contains: Healthy fats, Iron, Vitamin A, D, B12, and choline You may gradually reintroduce yolk in mixed foods like scrambled eggs, pancakes, or dosa batter for balanced nutrition.
Health Tips
Though rare at this age, observe for signs like rash, vomiting, or diarrhea if egg intake is suddenly increased.

A 5 year old boy needs approximately 19 grams protein per day. One egg has 6-7 gm protein. Ideally 1 egg per day is good but if the child is active you can give upto 2 ( so 14 gm protein will go in through egg) Rest of proteins will come in from pulses and other sources White part of egg is albumin which contains most of the egg protein. Please give only cooked form of egg. Raw egg is also a carrier of Salmonella infection We recommend a high protein diet in body builders, athletes and sports people. Not for everyone. Remember, an extra protein load is heavy on the stomach as well as is additional load on the kidneys.
