Consulting for baby

2026-08-17 11:04:49
I am 33 years old doing night shift for past one year. Will I have any complications if I plan for a baby?

Rotating and night-shift work is linked to a slightly higher risk of cycle irregularity, difficulty conceiving and preterm birth, but it is not a bar to a healthy pregnancy. Many women in shift work conceive and deliver normally, especially when sleep, nutrition and preconception health are looked after.
Next Steps
Please book a preconception consult; a basic hormone check, thyroid, sugars and folic acid start-up will give you a solid runway.
Health Tips
Try to protect a fixed sleep window each day and avoid caffeine in the six hours before it.
