The injury had bleeded, 2-3 drops of blood came out. Can This Incident Transmit Hiv, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, Hsv? Should I Start PEP For HIV? Have Shared The Photo of The Cut (Injury) Which I Got From This Incident. Please Help.

You are completely safe from HIV, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, and HSV in this situation. These viruses cannot survive on a dry metal surface for 40-45 minutes. HIV in particular becomes non-infectious within minutes of drying outside the body. Hepatitis B is the most resilient but transmission still requires significant direct blood-to-blood exposure — an incidental cut from scissors used 40+ minutes ago does not meet this threshold. No PEP is needed at all.
Next Steps
Clean the cut with antiseptic, cover it, and move on — there is no infectious risk here. If anxiety about this persists, speaking with a doctor for reassurance would help. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

No risk, as these viruses do not survive outside.

Transmission risk from this minor cut is very low for HIV or Hepatitis. Book a consultation for full reassurance and testing if needed. Feel free to book one.

Relax and take a deep breath. You are not at risk of developing any disease due the cut by used scissors. Just keep the area clean and dry. Maintain hygiene. Wash with soap and running water for 10mins
