Paclitaxel chemotherapy is known to cause sensation of tingling and numbness(neuropathy) to the limbs..
The severity may not the same in all who received the chemotherapy.. But it will be graded according to the amount of discomfort it causes..
Diabetes may aggravate the severity...
Drugs like gabapetin, pregabalin /duloxetin will be used to treat.. But even after taking medications it takes months to become normal.. Sometimes residual discomfort for a year or two...
These medications should only be suggested by a doctor after proper evaluation..
Further treatment can only be decided based on stage, hormone receptor status on hpe, age and her menopausal status. (Radiation and chemo/hormonal therapy requirements)
