Constipation
My daughter is 3 years old. She is usually constipated. Earlier, we used to give Muout solution (1 spoon in half glass of water) daily but it was not very effective. Another pediatrician recommended pegclear to her .
Can Pegclear be given to 3 years old child ? And for how long it needs to be given to the child ?
If u accept that constipation is due to bad diet habits that are introduced by parents only and no medicine can treat it till u change habits, then baby will be free from constipation in no time. Ask for food to be given and not to be given

Pegclear and Muout both have PEG which is given for clearing bowel in chronic constipation. Both can be given for 3-5 days followed by lactulose and high fibre diet
Next Steps
1. check if the child holds her stools; this is a behavioural issue, need to potty train the child.
Make her sit on the toilet at the same time everyday.
2. increase vegetables and fruits, high fibre cereals in diet
3. reduce milk
4. check for any worms in stools; may try Deworming agents
5. If persistent, may get a thyroid function test
