As papaya increased the  intestinal motility (natural laxative)which can increase the uterine contraction and can be harmful in pregnancy. So should be avoided in large amount.1 or 2 slices mixed with fruit salad will not harm.

Hello dear patient Papaya is not advised in pregnancy as it may cause abortion but its not confirmed that it will definitely cause abortion. Also there is no dose or timing of eating that may confirm it will cause abortion so doctor don't prescribe it to cause abortion. But advise you not to take it during pregnancy to avoid any complications. Tc
