Confusion about copper t s validity

Sir my wife has been using copper t from April 2016. That's time doctor said to me it's life is 2 year. But after she feels some infection then I consulted another gynaecologist. Then doctor asked me about it's validity. I said 2 years but the doctor told me copper t is available minimum 3 years. So I would like to know about it's validity.

Copper T validity is 2years,3years 5and 10 years also.Depends on which one she is having better contact to gynaecologist who has inserted .If infection is more then go for removal.
