Hi so my friend just got back from her colonoscopy test and she was told she has adenomas polyps... we are very concern does this mean she has Colin cancer and if so she thinks they might have removed it during colonoscopy but isn’t entirely sure what they did...

Adenomatous polyps (adenomas) of the colon and rectum are benign (noncancerous) growths, but may be precursor lesions to colorectal cancer. Polyps greater than one centimeter in diameter are associated with a greater risk of cancer. If polyps are not removed, they continue to grow and can become cancerous. Kindly speak with the treating doctor and get details on the procedure that was done.
