Cold with running nose .

My grandson sometimes suffers from cold and running nose and becomes dull and restless . He may be having headache also . How to treat him at home . Can we apply vicks vaporub on his forehead or give steam . Please advise the safest way .

Offer plenty of fluids. Liquids are important to avoid dehydration. Encourage your baby to take in his normal amount of fluids. Extra fluids aren't necessary. If he is on breast-feeding,keep it up. Breast milk offers extra protection from cold-causing germs...Consult nearest pediatrician for clinical examination they will do the needful.
