My 5 years old son is suffering from cold and runny nose since 2 days ,doctor prescribed a xyzal syrup 5ml once a day to continue for three days,but there is little improvement in cold till now but my son have a suffering from congestion cough too.please prescribed some medicine along with dosage and till when we have to give the medicine

Hi , continue with xyzal syp as cold last for 7 days... U didnt mention about cough in details...you can use home remedies and lukewarm water gargles...give steam inhalation..

You can stop xyzal.. You Can start with syp. maxtra and ascoril ls.. But for doses weight of your child will b needed.. I am Considering the weight around 20 kg,you can give Syp. Maxtra 5ml 2 times a day for 5 days Syp. Ascoril LS 5ml 3 times a day for 6 days For further help consult online..
