If mild,avoid unnecessary medicine and give just steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever if required. If not improving OR accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,consult your paediatrician asap. Asthalin is used for asthma primarily. If you put your ear against her chest or back and hear wheezing sounds in the breathing,only then add this drug at a dose of 2.5 ml thrice a day.
