Clear mucus cough since 1 month

Having wet clear mucus cough since more than 1 month, got better and became very severe, took Montair and Reeswaas became little better, but still on and off, and fever since yesterday afternoon, around 101 continuously, dolo not helping much, doc suggested agument625 hearing the symptoms , but friend not comfortable taking antibiotics please suggest is it safe
