Yes it can be an ortho problem..there can be osteochondritis for which you need to see an orthopaedic surgeon..
He would most probably take an xray to rule out if there is any bony lesion usually its a normal xray but it is done to be sure that we are not missing anything in particular.
The treatment of this usually lasts for few months with
calcium supplements and chest physiotherapy
