At a cervical length of 2.5 it depends on ur previous history..and symptoms.. If u hv had previous history of abortions , ny fetal loss , if this s IVF conception , ny previous surgeries on uterus or cervix.. And if ny symptoms like pain or excessive discharge s there.. Its advisable to do a prophylactic encerclage. As gest age advances it becomes more n more difficult to do encerclage.
