Cavity in tooth

I have a cavity in the upper right pre-molar tooth. Earlier I had visited dentist twice and both the times GIC filling were done. However I have noticed that the GIC filling comes off within 3-4 months. Is there any permanent filling process? Preferably without root canal / crown?

Nothing is permanent but the shelf life and durability of composite filling (laser ) is much more than GIC , Ivan get that filling done....
