Cavity and fum disease

I had cavity problem and it gradually spread to gums and turned into dental abcess and swollen gums. It continued for 8-9 months and gradually my tooth broke into half. It was next to wisdom teeth. After that the swelling in the gums reduced. Now i take care of my teeth with regular cleaning after food. Still there is a very tiny and negligible swelling still present. Bit it does not cause any pain or abcess. Is it a cause of concern? What should i do ?

Xray is needed to evaluate the offensive tooth region for the correct diagnosis of the disease.

As per your explanation it a dental abscess and if there is any small opening near your gums in that broken tooth area then its sinus tract/opening and its very important to get it treated as abscess affects the surrounding bone.
Next Steps
visit the nearby dentist, get your xray done and as per me , broken tooth removal will be the best choice.
Health Tips
do not neglect your oral health.
