There is no evidence that Cavit Syrup or
calcium/
vitamin supplements can make a permanent tooth erupt faster if the tooth is otherwise developing normally. In many children, it can take up to 6 months (and sometimes longer) for the permanent tooth to appear after a milk tooth falls out, depending on its position and stage of development.
Since it has already been more than 2 months, I would recommend a consultation with a pedodontist (children’s dentist). A simple IOPA or OPG X-ray can confirm whether the permanent tooth is present, developing normally, or if there is any obstruction delaying eruption.
Next Steps
If the child has a balanced diet and no diagnosed
calcium or
vitamin D deficiency, Cavit Syrup is generally not required solely to promote tooth eruption, so I would not recommend starting it without your pediatrician’s or dentist’s advice.
