Need to cataract surgery to my mom. She is 70Yrs old now. She doesn't have any other issues now. When contacted a eye hospital, they recommended to go for bifocal lens(long sigh correction is 0.5 only). Is it advisable to go for Bi-focal or use regular lens & go for eye glasses for short vision.

Hello Choice is all hers If she wants freedom from. Glasses then opt for multifocal but she may have contrast problem, glare etc With  Unifocal lenses, there are on issues except for need of glasses

for her it's better to go for monovision .the brand of lens you can choose with consultation of your operating  surgeon.
