Cataract is clouding of the natural clear lens of the eye. It needs a surgical correction. Modern technology has made it possible to do this surgery without injections, without stitches. Drops are put in the eye to numb them and a surgeon then removes the ctaracats through a 2.2mm incision. A foldable lens is then implanted in the eye.

Cararact is the result of opacification of natural lens ,due to which the vision is diminished. The vision can be regained by a simple operation, yaking out the natural lens and putting an artificial lens in its place . There are various techniques to do it and different types of lensrs are available. For making the whole procedure painless ,we can do it by a small injection or by repeatedly putting rye drops but in operation without injection, patient's co operation is very necessary and important.
