Hi, My father is about to have cataract operation. rarely he will be suffering from neck pain. Will there be any problem if he gets operated for cataract. No there is no relation between and eye operation and paralysis
He just have to lie down with his neck straight for about 10-15 min no neck pressure or medicines are used around the neck.
Now only drops are used for anaesthesia and no injections are given which can affect the body. A anaesthetist is just for a backup if the patient is not comfortable.
