Caries remains under filling
I have done permanent composite filling on my wisdom tooth 3 weeks ago. .and the dentist didnt remove whole caries as its near to pulp so some remains under the composite..but i have mild spontaneous occasional pain sometimes. .should i visit to another dentist? ?what can i do now??will it progress?
Please help
Post op sensitivity is common after deep composite restorations.
But if it lingers ,it will need addressing.
.
Third molars usually are advised for removal rather than fill as access is difficult to do justice to restoration.

If it's sensitivity a re-filling with a liner under the filling would help.
If it's pain, there is more than a likely chance of the nerve already damaged. In which case root canal or extraction would be advisable depending on the positioning of the wisdom tooth.
