Cant floss after fillings between teeth

2021-11-25 10:51:27
I got composite fillings between my upper central incisors and also between the upper lateral and central incisors due to cavities. Now I realised that I am unable to floss. The floss isn't simply getting through these teeth which were filled. The filling is acting as a barrier for the floss. I use Colgate waxed dental floss. I got these cavities in the first place because I didn't floss. I started flossing only recently. What should I do? I'm worried I might get cavities under the fillings. Are there alternatives to flossing? Should I wait for a few days and keep checking if the floss will go through the teeth? Please help me!

If little bit of filling over flows between the teeth,  this will happen. It needs to be cleared from between the teeth and will be done by the dentist.
Next Steps
Go back to the dentist,  and he may have to adjust the fillings between the teeth a bit.  It can be done by the dentist only and you need not wait as it won't become better.
Health Tips
delaying will hamper, in between teeth cleaning and can cause decay over a period of time as you have rightly said

Hello It is most likely that if you are not able to floss between your teeth or the filled areas there are chances that the cavity will redevelop over that area. Just visit your dentist once again and see if the fillings can be refined a bit so that the flossing can be done and do not try to force the floss in that area else you might end up damaging the tooth as well as the gums and do not use tooth pick in that area
