Canker sore
I have very painful canker sores on my tonsils. Thinking initially that it is strep throat, I continued taking hot liquids. Also I completed 3 day course of azithromycin. It started 5 days ago but I am still having a lot of pain. No improvement. Is there anything I can do to quicken the healing?
You might probably be having a condition what we call follicular tonsillitis. I would recommend you to post a picture of it to have a better idea.
Plain azithromycin won't help if the problem is likely to be a follicular tonsillitis and it will require higher antibiotics.

1.tab augmentin 625mg thrice a day after breakfast, lunch and dinner
2.tab pan 40 once a day half hr before bfast
3.tab lyser-d twice a day after bfast and dinner
4. betadine gargles five times a day ..to gargle with warm water and spit out..rest f d time salt water gargling whenever possible
take it for 5 days

1. space 2 tablets distanced 15 to 20 mins apart.
2. if things don't resolve in 7 to 10 days..seek a ENT consultation asap
