Can I have alcoholic drink,
I had my angioplasty on 12 March, medication going on.
Which alcoholic drink you suggest.
Beer or whiskey. Pls advise.

Hello,
Alcohol is not recommended specially after you already had a heart disease. Alcohol can raise your BP and cause rhythm disturbances if exceeded a particular quantity. I can not recommend alcohol but if you want to take it , the type of alcohol hardly matters. Do not exceed 2 small pegs of whisky or 650 ml of beer at a time.

As much as possible, please don’t consume alcohol. Alcohol may increase the BP, may cause rhythm disturbances of the heart and may cause gastritis which may be confused with heart pain.
