Can i expect pregnancy

I have been married for five years. We were sexually active at the beginning of our marriage, as of now we are not. I got conceived three times in gaps. I was medically aborted. I want to get pregnant now. A few months back it was facing irregular periods but now it is getting regular. Can I get pregnant? Should I test myself before trying to get pregnant? Will there be a problem? What are the things I should do?
