Calcium and vitamin D deficiency.

I was prescribed Gen-D3 earlier by the physician and now i when i visited another doctor i was prescribed shelcal-500. please explain which 1 is better..

For hypovitaminosis D, I would suggest : 1. Injection Arachitol(6 Lacs units) stat intramuscularly. 2. Cap Dsol 60k weekly once for 8 weeks. 3. Cold liver oil capsules once daily(non veg) Check vitamin D levels  after 1month. You can take Cap Evion (vit E) along for 1 month.

Both the tablets of different content and dosage Gen D3 was prescribed for vit d deficiency and shelcal 500 as calcium supplements Shelcal 500 also contains dosage of vit d in a lower concentration for daily need along with calcium So You can take both simultaneously
