Hello sir..... Definitely what u have been told is right. The lipomas are the collection of abnormal fatty graowths at specific locations. Few have the genetic disease of multiple lipomas what we call as lipomatosis. There is no cure for this and cant prevent its occurence. But can be removed for the esthetic reasons, if required.
