Hi, my brother is having frequent migraine attacks since last 1 week or so. We took him to doctor and hr prescribed Headset medicine to take when needed. The medicine gives him relief and he goes by the day but next day migraine returns. Now we don't want to give him this or any medicine for long term as he may get used to it. He has had a history of migraine but not experienced any since last 2 years. May be he is working from home and not getting to go outside. Also he is a regular drinker and smoker. We had MRI done 2 years ago but found nothing. So not sure the cause of his sudden migraine return. We dont have option to take him to doctor frequently due to Coronavirus lockdown. Can you please help provide any help to manage his migraine.

MRI will be always normal in migranous headache. Headcet tablet is for acute attack of headache only. To prevent attack need to take preventive medicine like Tab. CIPLAR PLUS 10, TRYPTOMER, Topiramet. Also need to do strict  lifestyle modification. Regular exercise running walking skipping Daily 4-5liter water drinking Avoid acidity Stop addiction

If migraine has returned for one week give Vasograin and Ultracet tab for pain If it occurs more than 5 times a month a long term treatment will be needed

If he has been symptom free for 2 yrs and now he has again migraine, ascertain whether the character of headache is same or not. If it's same he can have naxdom500 when required. If the character is different he needs to be investigated further.
