Broken shoulder

Good evening. I broke my shoulder and arm, but it's impossible to have a surgery for the next one month. I have a question: The pain is killing me. The doctor put a simple sling but it does nothing. Would it be better if they put a cast or a narthex for the next weeks, so I will not be able to move my arm at all? I cannot walk, I cannot go to the hospital to do my chemotherapy because my shoulder is hanging on a sling. So, what is the right thing to do for a broken shoulder, when you cannot have

I agree with Dr Nishit and Dr Bharath You can have an shoulder immobilizer or u slab depending upon the fracture geometry and location You should atleast share the x rays for an answer or just trust your treating doctor as no one is better equipped then him as he knows all facts pertaining to your case and is immediately available near your location

It's important to immobilized it with a u slab extending from shoulder to elbow joint so that the fracture bones do not move..once that is in place the swelling and pain settles down..then you can get the surgery done after a week also no issues.
