Your first screening is at the age of 35 years if you don't have any symptoms and no family history of breast cancer. Otherwise it is done at the age of 30 years.
There are many views regarding the periodicity of repeat mammography. Different States in the USA have different guidelines, Canada has different guidelines.
I couldn't come across any Indian Guidelines.
The rough impression is that it should be done every 2 years in women with no family history. For women with family history it is done every year (till the age of 55 years).
