Braces one tooth extraction and midline.
I have overbite and overjet. My orthodentist has recomended to extract 2 teeth from upper and 1 tooth from the lower. I have seen that 1 tooth extraction from lowers leads to unequal midline of the upper front two teeth over the middle of one lower tooth. Can the unequal midline caused by extraction of 1 lower incisors be fixed or cannot be fixed. I mean can the unequal midline caused by 1 lower tooth extraction can be fixed or not.
The decision to extract any teeth will depend on your existing malocclusion. The orthodontist is the best guide for this.
Coming to your question, when a single lower incisor is extracted and two upper teeth are extracted, the upper and lower mid lines will not match. However, this is not a problem as it still takes care of your teeth condition and corrects the overjet and overbite.
