He is having problem, issues at job. He has family history with his father physically abusing his mother, his uncle died of suicide under depression

I can empathize with you..see his diagnosis appears to be substance induced disorder...yes he needs help no doubt..but you also have to take care of yourself..talk to your parents about it and Consult a Psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and Management of the case..it will help him for sure..if he is unwilling plan a home visit...Also don't encourage domestic violence even if he is psychiatrically disturbed...go back parental home if nothing works..done
