Bone grafting problem

Hi, One of my friend had met with an accident and has got issue with his left foot. Doctor had done grafting for the foot but he do not has toe and finger on the foot affected. Can those be recreated and what would be the after effects of the surgery done in future.

Immediate microvascular surgery after the injury, usually saves the lost toe. But if it fails, then the only possible procedure is transplant from a cadaver.. For cosmetic purpose he may opt for a prosthetic toe which looks exactly the same, but will be non- functional... However he has to keep the joints in full range of movement so that scope for a future procedure is there...
