Boil on the upper part of hand

She has been suffering from boil on the upper part of hand for nearly 9 months and since then plenty of treatments has been tried from self care to visiting to the doctor. None have worked so far. It was just a tiny like bump at the start but it grew to where it is after all remedies tried and done. She tried warm compression, ointments like betadine, framycetin, muprocin daily twice a day. She tried each mentioned ointment where when one doesn't work, she tried another followed by other and so on. She tried eating antibiotics for weeks like Amoxicillin, levofloxacin but none have worked. Consulted private doctors where they just repeat the same process like dressing the boil daily and prescribing same antibiotics and ointments and the suggested for the surgery at some point when it became big full of pus filled. She went for that and got it done but as predicted, it recurred. I'm thinking of getting her pus checked so that doctors can prescribe suitable antibiotics. Should I?
