Blood in stool

My niece has been suffering from blood in the stool. She is currently hospitalized. Initially, she has started with diarrhea than diarrhea stop, however, her stool in the blood is not stopped. So, kindly guide us on such a scenario. Any, test which we can do to diagnose the disease correctly she is suffering from.

Hi if this bleed is not associated with pain than is generally due to piles and quantity of blood should be more. If this is associated with pain and quantity is less than this is due to fissure. At times there may be sigmoid colitis which leads to cramping lower abdominal pain and may cause passage of blood in stool. Other rare causes are presence oflpolyp growth Or a malignant growth. You should avoid constipation, as this is the cause for piles/ Fissure. it's better to get evaluated , a short scopy done to rule out the underline problem
