In dry ears, earwax itself becomes dry and hard. It hangs like a scab on the ear canal wall. When you try to remove it, the hardened wax often pulls tissue off the ear canal. This causes sore, even bleeding ears. As long as there isn't a profuse or continuous bleeding associated with hearing loss there isn't anything to worry. Use a cotton to cover the ear so the blood can be collected and since your ear is sensitive at present, air entry into the ear maybe painful.
