It could have been broken. Bleeding can occur if some tissue has been hurt. And the tissue which gets most easily hurt in that area is hymen. An examination by a Gynaecologist is required for further confirmation.

Possibility of injury  to hymen  ,as there was bleeding too. Get your self physically  examined   by a local doctor to confirm. .
