If you have an Amsler grid you can do a home self test to see the extent of the vision problem. This could be a recurrent CSR.
Next Steps
Please consult a comprehensive ophthalmologist or retina consultant. You could require a fluorescein angiogram, ICG and if necessary the doctor may advise laser/ anti VEGF agents.
Health Tips
In case you are taking any steroid preparations either for skin or nasal sprays please ask for alternative medications from your dermatologist/ ENT surgeon.

You need to specify whether the black spot is persistent since 5 yrs or had dissappered completely and now again recurred. You need to Consult a good vitreoretinal specialist and get the FFA and OCT macula done if required. It can be a chronic CSR or recurrent CSR.
