BLACK COLOUR  STOOL WITH NO STOMACH PAIN

2025-06-07 05:49:14
Dear Doctor, For the past few days, my stool has been black in color. I've been taking Ecosprin 150 (aspirin) for a year and recently took iron syrup, which I stopped a few days ago. My stool is black and hard, but I don't have any symptoms like pain or vomiting. Could you please suggest a suitable homeopathic medicine?

At your age it is best to get investigated and examined to get to know the source of bleeding. Medicine depends on when and where the source of bleeding is. For further evaluation and treatment consult online in private with details of the condition.

Black stools are often due to iron supplements, but since you’re also taking Ecosprin, it’s important to rule out any gastric irritation or bleeding. As you’re not experiencing pain or vomiting, it may be minor, but persistent black stools should be evaluated further. For safe and personalized care, I recommend a detailed assessment. You can consult me directly here on Practo for further guidance.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your concern—black and hard stools, especially when you're on long-term Ecosprin and recently took iron supplements, definitely need careful evaluation. While black stools can sometimes result from iron intake, they may also indicate deeper issues like gastrointestinal irritation or bleeding, especially in patients on aspirin. In homeopathy, we treat not just the symptom but the entire root cause—including your medication history, digestion, and overall system balance. It’s very important to assess your case in detail before suggesting the right medicine. The right remedy can bring lasting relief without suppressing symptoms or causing side effects. I would highly recommend a personal consultation—either online or in clinic—so I can understand your case thoroughly and prescribe a safe, effective remedy tailored just for you. You don’t have to go through this alone. I'm here to help you heal gently and holistically. Warm regards, Dr. Jyoti Kadkol Health Global Homoeopathy Clinic, Bangalore

Without identifying the right cause, cannot suggest medicine. You should first take a stool routine and micro test.

Black-colored stool in your case is most likely related to the iron syrup, as this is a common and harmless side effect.
