Bipolar disorder comorbid with OCD

I have bipolar and ocd together. Aripiprazole and vortioxetine was tried which proved beneficial but had side effects like impulse control behaviour and drowsiness upon which aripiprazole was stopped and lamotrigine was added with vortioxetine. Isn't it double edged sword? As vortioxetine is mood destablizer and lamotrigine stablizes mood. Kindly help

Vortioxetine is a drug used in depression (including depressive phase of bipolar disorder) and in ocd. Lamotrigine is a mood stabiliser. They can be used in combination. Don’t worry, unless you notice any side effects. Hope it helps

Vortioxetine is an antidepressant and not a mood destabiliser.
